What you’ll need:

  • 1 large pumpkin
  • A knife
  • Hot water
  • A large glass
  • 1 pound Penguin Brand Dry Ice®
  • Gloves
  • Hammer
  • Towel

First, use the knife to carve your pumpkin. We suggest making a spooky face with a large mouth to best highlight the dry ice effect. Then fill the glass half full with hot water and place the glass inside of your pumpkin. Next, while wearing gloves, wrap the dry ice in a towel and use the hammer to break the dry ice into chunks. Drop two to three pieces of dry ice into the glass. Finally, place the lid on top of the pumpkin and watch as your pumpkin becomes a spooky fog-filled masterpiece!

I see that it is lit up. Can you put a light in there as well?

Hi Kimberly, thanks for your question! Yes, certainly. As long as your pumpkin has enough space inside you can add a light as well.
